--Albert Dittman, an ardent young Dutchman, residing in South Boston, having been sternly repulsed from the affection and the bodily presence of Margaret Pedre, a buxom German mise, "just sixteen years old," of whom he was desperately enamored, procured a pistol on Tuesday last, and loading it with powder and a gravel stone, repaired to the residence of his "killing" attention, where, after a brief interview, he levelled his weapon, and, pla g it against her neck, , the stone entering the neck of the girl, inflicting a dangerous wound, Albert then rushed out of the house and jumped into the river, from which he was violently fished and escorted to jail to await his trial.
