The Southern Congress. --The Congress of the Confederate States met at Montgomery, Alabama, on yesterday. Hon. Alex. H. Stephens left this city Saturday to be present at its deliberations, and to communicate the result of his mission to Virginia, which will, no doubt, prove as acceptable to the Congress as to the people of this State.
