The murder of Boyd. --An account was given in a dispatch from Washington of the murder of a young man named Boyd, in that city. It is now stated (says the Alexandria Gazette,) that a squad of men from the Union regiment were sent to his house, (he being charged with being a secessionist,) and knocked and kicked at his door, (for the purpose of breaking it open, doubtless,) when he tired at them with a revolver, and they then fired at and killed him, he having closed the door after openingBoyd, in that city. A coroner's Jury has rendered a verdict according to this statement. The squad have been arrested.

Went under. --While hunting snipe in Cayuga county, N. Y., a short time since, Robert Boyd ventured upon a muddy tract, when he began to sink, and before his comrades could extricate him disappeared beneath the slimy surface. His body was not recovered.
