Hdqs, Gov's Mounted Guard. Camp Ashland, May 11, 1861. the Governor's Mounted Guard desire to return their thanks to Messrs. J. F. Scott and Wm. A. Grills, and Troopers J. H. Rives and John Allan for their very liberal contributions in money. Also, to Messrs. L. D. Crenshaw and Wm. A. Grills for the use of two valuable horses for members of the corps. (but for which liberality on their part two Troopers would have had to remain at home.) Also, many thanks to the Rev. Mr. Nolley for Wm. A.
