Military matters. --The commanding officers of Peyton's Artillery Corps have received orders to remove their men, now (to the number of 75) stationed at the Baptist College, to West Point, on the York river, whither they will proceed this morning by railroad, at 8 o'clock, and report for orders to Capt. Whittle at that place. They will be assigned to one of the batteries in that region, and when the shock of actual conflict comes, we predict they will give a good account of themselves. The field battery to be used in future by the company is hastening towards completion.
