Treason. --Yesterday Officers Morris and Chalkley took into custody and carried before the Mayor for examination a man named Francis S. Childress, for using treasonable language towards the State. The Mayor's Court being at the time on the point of adjournment, his Honor refused to investigate the case, and ordered the accused to be deposited in the cage for safe-keeping.
