A negro fellow was stabbed three times in the breast yesterday, at or very near a drinking house on the Basin, corner of 10th and Byrd streets, kept by Henry Brickman. The cuts were deep, and the blood flowed most profusely. We saw the negro, and wondered at his being able to stand up after the loss of so much vital fluid; but stand up he did, and walked away after a doctor. The wounds were said to have been inflicted by one of the disorderly boys infesting that neighborhood. We did not learn his name. He would do well to go into the butchering business.
