Intelligence from Havana. --A gentleman who left Havana on the 8th instant for this city, via New York, arrived here yesterday, and states that sickness to an alarming extent prevailed in Havana. Cholera and yellow fever were both spreading, and there was a great rush of those who could leave to get away. Vessels are returning in ballast. The Cubans express the fullest sympathy for the Southern Confederacy and their cause. The information which they receive of the condition of things in this country is received almost exclusively from Northern journals, and but Havana.
