The proclamation of the Governor, calling the Legislature together, was then read by the Clerk, Wm. F. Gordon. Esq. Mr. Haymond, of Marion, moved that a committee of three be appointed to await on the Governor and inform him that the House was in session and ready to receive any Message or other communication from him.
