61. The steamship Brooklyn and the brig Dolphin are still lying at the Gosport Navy-Yard. The former is taking in stores, and it was rumored on Saturday that she was destined to blockade Charleston harbor. It is believed that she is to sail under sealed orders. Neither of the ships has been paid off as yet, and there seems to be small prospect for the crews to get their money. Lieut. Chapman and Master Mills, both of Ala., have tendered their resignations to the Department. Lieut. North has written his resignation, but holds it under consideration. He leaves for South Carolina to-day or tomorrow, to watch the course of events; and, being a native of that State, will never bear arms against her.
