A brave act. --We find the subjoined communication in the Savannah News, of the 31 instant: One of the small sailor boys belonging to the C. S. steamer Savannah, whose father was quartermaster, fell overboard off Pulaski yesterday, while the tide was powerfully running and the wind blowing very fresh. The poor lad could not swim, and had sunk five times, when Midshipman J. B. Ratcliffe, of Va., without waiting to divest himself of clothing, sprang in the water after him, and, at the imminent hazard of his own life, gallantly rescued the boy. Midshipman Ratcliffe was complimented by Capt. Moffitt, on the quarter deck, in the presence of the whole crew.
