The political prisoners. --The New York papers inform us that the Baltimore Police Commissioners are still lodged at Fort Lafayette, and no further action has been taken by the authorities to enforce the writ of habeas corpus in their case. The report that the Sheriff had applied to Major General Duryea for a sufficient force to enforce obedience to the order of the Court, it is alleged, was a canard. The counsel for the Commissioners, at Fort Lafayette, have given notice of their intention to apply to Judge Garrison for attachment against Sheriff Campbell for not using all means in his power to execute the writ against Col. Burke.
