From Norfolk.[special Correspondence of the Dispatch,] Norfolk, August 26, 1861. We are deeply pained to announce the death of our estimable citizen, Thomas G. Broughton, Sr., which occurred at his residence, in Bank street, on Saturday morning last, at a quarter to nine o'clock. Mr. Broughton, for many years, was senior editor of the Norfolk and Portsmouth "Herald, " and, under his guidance, it may have been said to have gained much of the popularity it possessed.
