We have already published a general invitation to the convalescent soldiers of the Confederate army, from the patriotic and hospitable ladies of Rockbridge county, who offer and desire to make their houses the homes of the suffering heroes. And we believe that we speak without exaggeration when we emphatically declare that there is not a family in Virginia which would not gladly, and even gratefully, throw open its doors to convalescent soldiers from the hospitals.
