$100 reward. --Ranaway from the subscriber, on the 6th inst. at Vienna, Virginia, a mulatto boy named Sam. Said boy is about 20 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high. He had on when he left a pair of white Osnaburg pante and a checked shirt, no coat; is rather slow spoken; no particular marks remembered. The above reward will be given for sufficient proof to convict any white person of assisting said boy in effecting his escape; or twenty-five Dollars will be paid for his safe delivery either to myself or in any jail where I can get him. Alexandria County, Va., August 26. --The alarm of yesterday, that caused a very general and instant turnout of nearly all the troops on this side, proves to have arisen from an attack of about 150 of the enemy, with two field-pieces, upon one of the Union picket guard squads. The enemy probably were not aware of being so close to our lines, as they retired in great haste back towards Vienna. They wounded a Union Captain in the leg, and took him and two of his men prisoners.--One other man who was with him escaped and gave the alarm.
