e Confederates. Nine Confederate prisoners were brought to Wheeling on Saturday from Grafton, Va. Jeff. Thompson being told that Hecker had offered a reward for his head, replied, "Sorry I cannot return the compliment, for I would not have his as a gift." A definite arrangement is understood to have been made in Missouri, by which all the prisoners taken on each side, in the late battle, are to be released. A man named Spencer, of Cincinnati, has it is stated, invented a submarine bomb that can be thrown into the water, and will explode after it is submerged. Daniel C.
