atch.]the ladies of North Carolina. The ladies of Wilmington, Goldsboro', Newbern, Greensborough and Granville, forwarded to this city, to the care of the Hon. A. W. Venable, many boxes of hospital stores and clothing for the sick, suffering and wounded soldiers of North Carolina--all of which have been received and forwarded to the several camps in the State of Virginia. In this work Mr. Venable was much assisted by the Young Men's Christian Association of Richmond.--He also received from the ladies of Goldsboro' one hundred and seven dollars, from the ladies of Newbern one hundred and fifty dollars, and from other sources, fifteen dollars, for the sane and cordials prepared by herself, and by her direction sent to the sick soldiers at the same hospital.
