Sentences of Bernard. --In the Circuit Court of Henrico, yesterday, Joseph Bernard, who stands convicted of murder in the second degree, moved through his counsel to arrest judgment, because, by the writ of venire facias. the Sheriff was commanded to summon and did summon jurors not properly qualified to act as such; which motion was overruled, and the Court proceeded to sentence the prisoner to nine years confinement in the penitentiary, in conformity with the verdict.
