Felony Trials. --Opic Staite, convicted of fornery, at peared before Judge Lyons yesterday to bear the result of his motion to set inside the veralet and grant a new trial. The Court overruled the motion and sentenced the trisoner to three years in the Penitentlary, to which institution he was forth with conveyed. A sad late for one whose career might have men useful, and even brilliant, but for a lack of nerve to resist the temptations and allurements of vice. Charles Pendergrass, alias Charles Williams, Indicts a for stealing a $20 Confederate note from George A Rouse, was tried and acquitted. Several felony cases of long standing, in which the parties have either broken jail or for feited their bail, were yesterday stricken from the docket. The parties are: John W Chronister, Wm. Martin, Philip Callagan, and Joseph Summere. There now remains but one felony case on the docket — that of Harvey Wash, whose trial will take place tomorrow.
