ven this evening without meeting the enemy. A cavalry company of rebels dashed down upon Gen. Blenker's pickets to day, but suddenly came in sight of our camps and scampered away faster than theytting away. None of our men were hurt. This company was the same that was seen yesterday by Gen. Blenker's men, two of whom were captured. A small reconnaissance was made to-day from General Mcreturning with forage, but reported the enemy in sight this side of Fairfax Court-House. Gen. Blenker sends a dispatch to headquarters, couched in the following language: Hereby I beg to seving received full particulars of the engagement by Col. Amsbery. Very respectfully, yours, Blenker, Brigadier-GeneralCommanding Division. A dispatch was received this morning at headquies, and therefore not to be relied on in anything it publishes, we take the following: Gen. Blenker reported last night to headquarters here that yesterday afternoon his out posts had an engage
