The following resolution was received from the House of Delegates: Resolved by the House of Delegates, (the Senate concurring,) That when this House adjourns on Saturday, the 21st inst., it will adjourn to the first Monday in January next. The resolution was concurred in. The Senate then took up its own resolution proposing an adjournment to the 2d day of January, and concurred in the amendment of the House thereto, fixing the first Monday in January as the limit of thJanuary as the limit of the recess. the Stay law. The House bill entitled an act to amend and re-enact the 8th section of an ordinance entitled "an ordinance to prevent the sacrifice of property and to suspend proceedings in certain cases," passed by the Convention of Virginia on the 30th day of April, 1861, was taken up and passed. Mr. Coghill, from the Committee on Courts of Justice, reported the bill to amend said ordinance, which was recommitted yesterday. The amendments were ordered to be printed.
