Honor to the memory of President Tyler.
At a meeting of the Maryland Society, held at their rooms, No. 15, Pearl street, on Tuesday mor e Congress in paying the last sad tribute to the remains, of the Hon. John Tyler, and to pass resolutions commemorative of the public service it had accomplished its grand mission, the souled of his servant, John Tyler; and whereas if it is our duty on this, and all occasions to bow is demise:--Be it therefore,
Resolved, That, in the death of John Tyler our whole Confederacy has sustained a loss of the greatest magnit often rung with its accents, cannot "provoke the silent dust" of John Tyler.--Full of years, full of honors, life's pleasures of a legitimate ves appreciated, and the voice of detraction and calumny hushed.
