The election held on Friday night last in the two literary societies of this College, resulted as follows: In the Union Society.--Best Speaker's medal was awarded to Mr. W. W. Page, of Warrenton, Va. Messrs. T. R. Caruthers, of Albemarle, Va., and W. H. H. Ewing, of Prince Edward, Va., were elected Junior Orators for Commencement. In the Philanthropic Society Messrs. H. C. Towns, of Tennessee, and W. Dennis Morton, of Botetoe, Va., Junior Orators. At a previous election in the Philanthropic Society, the best Speaker's medal was awarded to Mr. W. U. Murkland, of North Carolina.--All these gentlemen were members of the late "Hampden Sidney Boys." Hampden Sidney.
