Presentation of Silver. --We were shown yesterday a service of sliver, presented to Maj. Thos. F. Fisher, the popular Quartermaster at Manassas, as a mark of esteem from his numerous friends in that vicinity. The set consists of a pitcher, sugar bowl, two goblets, and a salver — all made in Richmond and in a style that reflects great credit upon the designer. A more elegant present could hardly be devised. Major Fisher is now in this city, but will leave immediately for Kentucky, where he is ordered to report for duty. It will be gratifying to his numerous friends in Louisiana and in the army, to learn that this set has been presented as a partinted as a parting token of regard for him as a gentleman and an officer. During the many months he has been stationed at Manassas, Major Fisher has made himself universally popular, and his departure is greatly regretted by all who have been associated with him there. He carries to Kentucky the best wishes of a host of friends.
