An Old Bell. --An old brass church bell, of tolerable size, bearing the words "York county, in Virginia, 1725," has been received at the Virginia Armory from York county, as a present to the State, from Dr. John Mayo.--It was cast in England and sent over as a present. A considerable opening in the side shows that it long since ceased to ring out its dulcet and peculiar harmony. Indeed, it is not now known, we suspect, even in what particular church its functions were performed. WhetherYork county, as a present to the State, from Dr. John Mayo.--It was cast in England and sent over as a present. A considerable opening in the side shows that it long since ceased to ring out its dulcet and peculiar harmony. Indeed, it is not now known, we suspect, even in what particular church its functions were performed.
