The enemy Advancing upon Savannah. Savannah, March 21.
--The News, of this morning, learns that the Federal landed yesterday at Red Banff, eight miles from Savannah — supposed about 7,00 strong.
The Republican says that official information has been received that a thousand Federal landed at Sluffson early this morning, Passengers report that 15,000 had landed from gunboats, and were preparing to march to the railroad.
Great activity prevails among the Confederate troops on the South Carolina and Georgia coasts.
The Nashville Patriot, of the 15th, copies a dispatch from the Cincinnati Commercial, dated Washington, March 11th, which says: "McClellan to-morrow causes to be General-in-chief. Secretary Stanton will issue an order announcing the change." It has also a dispatch which says that the Lieutenant of the Sumter has been released, and that the Sumter is still at Gibraltar.
