the First Baptist Church. Compensation of members. Mr. Burnett, of Ky., from the Committee of Conference, on the disagreement between the two Houses in regard to the compensation of the members thereof, presented a report recommending that the House recede from its amendment the bill, (striking out $3,000 per annum, and inserting $2,530,) and that the blank be filled with $2,760. The report was concurred in. The committee on the part of the Senate were Messrs. Burnett, of Ky., Wigfall, of Texas, and Barnwell, of S. C. Bills referred. Several bills communicated from the House of Representatives, were referred to the appropriate committees. Mr. Orr, of S. C. presented three designs for a flag from "T. H. H.," of S. C. Referred to the Committee on Flag and seal. Petition presented. Mr. Clay presented the petition of Robert E. Craddeck, Messenger of the President, asking for an increase of compensation. Referred.
