Troublesome character disposed of. --John Smith, arrested a few days since as an accomplice of John Shelley in stealing $100 from J. W, Cravaly, a boarder at the Columbian Hotel, was carried before the Mayor yesterday and committed to jail for twelve months, on failing to give the requisite security for his good behavior for the period mentioned.
Arrival of prisoners. --Lieut. W. Moffit brought down from Orange Court House, Sunday, via Central Railroad, the following prisoners:--Smith, J. O'Donnell, J. O'Donnell, Jr., C. Patton, J. Gordon, J. T. Gravos, and A. R. Brown. Two of the above were soldiers, arrested for bad conduct; the balance were citizens, arrested for disloyalty.
