A correspondent of the Lynchburg Virginian, writing from Aylett's, King William county, May 7, gives a brief account of the march of our forces from Gloucester Point at the time of the evacuation of Yorktown, which we copy.
The allusion to the hospitality of the inhabitants along the route speaks well for their patriotism and devotion to our cause:
