Election of a Chaplain. --Rev. P. A. Peterson, of the Methodist Conference, has been elected Chaplain of the 12th Regiment Virginia Volunteers, Colonel D. A. Weisiger commanding. Rev. Mr. Peterson was stationed at Portsmouth, Va., but knowing what would be his fate after the occupancy of the town by the Yankees, he wisly left.
