The Speaker appointed the following committee, to act with a similar committee on the part of the Senate, to inquire into the character of the present session of the Legislature — viz: Messrs. Rutherfoord, Newton, Edmund, Green, and Minor. The House then went into secret session on the subject of salt. The injunction of secrecy will probably be removed to-day.
