Did not find any of his money, but prisoner gave him a $5 note, and said as long as he had anything he should not want; he must make his house his home. Goddin, was called to answer the charge of stealing $125 from John P. Richedine on Monday night, between 7 and 8 o'clock, at Mrs. Pae's boarding-house, on 5th street. The circumstances pointed strongly to Lucy as the felonious depredator; but there being no direct proof, and Mr. Richedine having found his money where it had been thrown by the thief, the accused was discharged. L. Meredith was fined $5 for not hauling away a dead cow from 25th street, between Grace and Franklin streets.
