Fire. --The alarm of fire yesterday at 12 o'clock was caused by the burning of a wooden house a short distance this side of Victor's mill, Adams's Valley, near the upper workshops of the Virginia Central Railroad Company, whose property it was. It was tenanted by Mr. Tyler, an employee of the road, who, together with his family, were absent when the fire broke out. The house, and furniture contained in it, were entirely consumed.

One hundred dollars reward. --Ranaway from my farm, on the 16th of October, my negro boy, named Dennis, 23 years of age, bright mulatto, freckled face, about 5 feet 4 inches in height, thick set, and rather grum countenance; had on when he left blue pants, black overcoat, shoes, and black felt hat. He is no doubt making his way to the Federal lines. The above reward will be paid for his apprehension and delivery to me, or secured in any jail so I may get him. Wm. H.
