John Hopkins was arrested for stealing $14 from the pocket of Joe, slave of John O. Taylor, The case was continued for further proof. Lewis, slave of Walter Hudgins, and John, slave of Wm. Sublett, were each ordered fifteen lashes for being caught by the watch without passes.
