ick O'Neal and another man (both now in the city jail) when they assaulted John W. Burnett and robbed him of a shawl and other articles on a recent occasion. On the first examination the witness, Burnett, did not identify Keenan as one of the men who laid violent hands on him. When his name was called to day he did not respond; and it appearing that he was a soldier, the Mayor determined to adopt the expedient of sending him to the Provost Marshal to be disposed of. G. B. Thompson, Castar Tadlock, and John W. Sartan, Jr., were arraigned for examination on the charge of robbing Wm. Rowe of $40. Sartan is the same man who is charged with an attempt to murder a man in Screamersville by shooting him with a pistol a few Sundays ago, since which time all of the parties have been in jail on the charge of being concerned in the affair of the shooting.
