Chattanooga, Tenn., Dec. 31.
--The Rebel has just received the following dispatch from Governor Harris:

Murfreesboro', Dec. 31. --We attacked the enemy in his position at 5½ o'clock this morning, and the battle raged till 5 P. M. Our left wing drove the enemy a right back upon Stone river.
Our advance was steady, but the resistance was stubborn.
We captured four batteries, and about 4,000 prisoners; amongst them three Brigadier-Generals--Loss heavy on both sides, but the relative loss is not knows.
Gen. Rains, of Nashville, is killed. (Signed) J. G. Harris.
[Second Dispatch.] Chattanooga, Dec. 31.
--Eighty-eight Federal prisoners, captured near Murfreesboro', were brought in last night.
Seventy three more, with eight negroes, have just arrived in the evening train.
