About 16 of our cavalry on the 5th inst, charged on the Yankees near Dumfries, Prince William county, Va., capturing sixteen and killing four, including a 1st Lieutenant.
The prisoners belong to the 8th New York Cavalry, and were sent to this city.
The charge of our men was lead by Mr. R. Farrow.
