Each, of course, dates from the day on which the regiment was mustered into service. --The first expires on the 7th day of May, and the last upon the 5th day of July, though the greater portion of the troops are to leave the ranks in the month of June. Of these no less then thirty-eight regiments, comprising originally 30,000 men, are from the State of New York alone.
