An act imposing taxes for the support of the Government, passed March 28th 1863. Section 90. The act antired an act authorizing the receipt of Confederate State Treasury notes in payment of takes and other public dust, passed March 22d, 1862, be and the same is hereby amended and to enacted, so as to read as follows: "Confederate States non interest bearing notes of the denomination of and over five dollars, dated and on and after the 1st day of April, 1863, shall hereafter be receivable in payment of taxes and other public does to the State. Sec. 91. The Auditor of Public Accounts shall cause the preceding section to be published in at least five newspapers in the city of Richmond, and in the papers of the cities of Lynchburg and Petersburg, in the towns of Danville, Etannton, and Wytheville, far at least four weeks. ap 1--d4w
