One hundred dollars reward.
--Ran away, from the fortifications near Richmond, on or about the 17th February last my negro man named Bob. He is of dark, copper color, wears a mustache, speaks rather in a low tone of voice, as if from cold, and is about 37 years old, and about 5 feet 9 inches in height.
I will give the above reward if secured in jail, so that I can get him or for his delivery in Richmond to Messrs Lee & James, Aucts. Address me at Orange C. H. Erasmus Taylor. my 2--2w
One hundred dollars reward.
--I will give the above reward of $100 for the apprehension and delivery to me in Richmond of a negro boy named James, hired for the present year to James Hunter, Esq. Said boy is about 15 years old of a gingerbread color, not very intelligent, and when spoken to rather looks down to the ground.
I think it probable he has passed himself off as a free boy, and hired himself to some officer or mess connected with the batteries around town.
He (James) belongs to Mr. Wm A Buckner, of Caroline county, Va, where he may be making his way. Wm S Phillips. [ap 24--5t*]
