--It was stated yesterday that Patrick Curtis, who died from the effects of licks given him by a man named Lamb Schell, was a substitute agent." This, we are informed by a friend of deceased, was not the case.
Curtis had only been in Richmond four weeks when he received the wounds which resulted in his death, and during those four weeks had been engaged as an agent of the Government in buying leather.
He was a shoemaker by trade and came from North Carolina.
