--A short time ago Gen. Bragg, who has the reputation of being a most rigid disciplinarian, received a dispatch from the friend of a furloughed soldier, urging an extension of his leave on the ground that he had been married just one week.
In reply the General sent the following dispatch:
"Dispatch received; furlough extended one month.
See Deuteronomy XX, verse 7, and XXIV, verse 5.
On referring to the passages cited was found the following:
