Pistol Scrape. --William O'Brien, charged with stealing a pistol from Wm. J. Scott, was before the Mayor last Saturday. O'Brien admitted having the pistol in his possession, and professed a willingness to give it up to the Mayor, alleging that the weapon belonged to the Government, and not to Scott. The pistol was turned over to the police for safe keeping, and the party accused discharged, there being nothing in the evidence to show that he designed appropriating it to his own use.
