Robbing a drawer. --Lewis Harwin and John Cromley were arrested and brought before the Mayor yesterday, to answer the charge of stealing $72 from Robert Reid on Saturday last. Reid testified that having occasion to leave the house for a short time, he put his wife in charge, leaving in his money drawer between $70 and $80. The prisoners were present just before he left the room. Mrs. Reid, during the absence of her husband, feat the room an instant and when she returned saw Harwin passing from behind the bar. When Reid returned his money was gone. The prisoners were arrested on Sunday, and on Harwin's person was found two or more treasury notes, which Reid identified as his. Cromley had no money recognized by Reid, and as he was not seen about the house at the time of the robbery he was discharged. Harwin stated that he had just drawn $55 from an army paymaster, and could prove it. He was sent on to the Hustings Court for further examination, and committed till that time, whe
