Receiving stolen goods.
--Conrad Bender made his appearance before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of receiving four oil cloths six blankets, and ten pounds of chewing tobacco, stolen from members of the City Battalion, knowing the same to have been stolen.
Bender, according to his own statement, was entirely innocent of all crime and ought to be released; but, Mayor did not agree with him, he was sent on to answer for felony.
