Felony. --John Albert, a white man, was yesterday arraigned to answer the charge of stealing two gold watches from David H. Boitnott, a few days since. The officers who arrested Albert found in his trunk the watches alleged to have been stolen, and said that A. readily gave them up. The prisoner, in response to the question of the Mayor if he wished to say anything in his own defence, said that a man named Warner, who had been for a long time an inmate of a hospital at which Boitnott, the complainant, was located, had gone in debt at an establishment which he (A.) kept to the amount of $100; that he (W.) had determined to leave the city and insisted that the watches should be held by A. till the money was paid. As soon as he found out they had been stolen he determined to surrender them to the owner. The case was sent to the Hustings Court on Monday next, and the accused committed in default of bail.
