Exciting Chase. --On Saturday last a drunken horseman dashed up Main street at full speed, and when near 13th street rode down a soldier who was crossing the carriage way, injuring him slightly. A party of young men, seeing the condition of "John Gilpin," pursued him, and after many windings and twistings finally brought him to a stand-still near 6th and Marshall, when he was dismounted and severely handled for his indiscretions. The case will probably come before the Mayor to-morrow.
Reward. --Ran away from the subscriber, on the morning of the 27th, my boy Henry, who about 25 years old, and about five feet ten or eleven inches high. Henry wears a pair of whiskers, he has a downward look when spoken to; he is black, and had on when he left a pair of blue part and perhaps coat of same color. I will give $100 for the apprehension of said boy, whether taken in the city or county of Henrico. Chas Bayne, 1st st, bet Marshall and Clay, Richmond, Va. au 28--3t*
