rt attacked--Seventy-eight killed. Quantrell has been out again, and was still out at last accounts. On the night of the 9th he cut the wires near Jefferson City, Mo., having "struck" the Pacific Railroad at that point, and was on his way to Sedalia. A special dispatch from Leavenworth gives the particulars of the attack on Gen. Blunt and his escort below Fort Scott. He was attacked by 300 rebels in Union uniform, near the encampment of Lieut.
