Stealing cloth. --The two negro fellows, Essex and Ralph, arrested on Wednesday last by watchmen Boze and Jenkins with thirty yards of woolen cloth in their possession, supposed to be stolen, were before the Mayor yesterday for examination. Mr. William Bradley, the Superintendent of the Manchester Cotton and Woolen Mill, testified that the prisoners were employed at the mills; that the goods were made there; that they had been stolen, and that Essex was engaged in the wash-room, where then, were before the Mayor yesterday for examination. The Mayor sent the prisoners on for trial at the next term of the Hustings Court, and committed them to the city jail for safe keeping.
