Receiving stolen cloth. --Daniel Ryan, the well known keeper of a clothing establishment in the eastern part of the city, was arraigned before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of receiving a belt of yarn cloth, worth $300, stolen from John D. Harvey & Co., knowing the same to have been stolen. The cloth was found on Ryan's premises, and is supposed to have been carried there by the negro that stole it. Ryan denied his guilt; but failing to prove his innocence when the charge was being investigated, he was remanded to the Hustings Court for a further hearing. If innocent of the charge, he will have an opportunity to prove it before that tribu premises, and is supposed to have been carried there by the negro that stole it.
